Finding My Voice

Hi folks. Wow, it's been a minute. It's been almost 2 years since my last post when my lovely Isabelle died. I still miss her. I'd been working on a book around her life and mine, but have shelved that for a bit and now I'm working on another project.

It's been more than a decade since I have sung in public, and many years when I didn't sing at all. There are many reasons for that, most of them being that I developed vocal cord atrophy. But recently I have been singing more. My voice is getting better, not what it was a decade ago but it's still there. I honestly thought it was gone and I'm so happy to have it back even if it's not perfect. That's one of the things about getting older, you appreciate what you have in ways you never did in your youth. Singing used to be my everything and I had to learn to live without it. It feels like a miracle to have it back again. Thanks for listening.
